WAPSAC at a Glance
Whiston and Prescot Sub Aqua Club (WAPSAC) was founded in 1972 as an independent club. From 1976 the club was part of the Sub Aqua Association until November 2019 when WAPSAC become a BSAC diving Club Branch 2595. We offer a comprehensive range of diver training, regular club diving activities and meet weekly for our pool sessions.
Try Dives
Try Scuba in our pool before you join the club
If you're new to scuba, have an hour try-dive with us at Knowsley Leisure Centre. We supply all kit for the dive and our instructors will look after you so you can enjoy the experience. Minimum age requirement is 14.
Diver Training
Train to recognised diving grades from Ocean Diver to Advanced Diver
To train, you would need to join our club, attend theory lectures and complete practical tasks under the supervision of our Diving Officer. You can do this at your own pace, meeting at the pool each Wednesday evening, progressing to open water dives with our instructors.
Minimum age requirement is 14.

Diving trips
Annual club trip abroad and weekends away in the UK
At WAPSAC, we organise an annual trip abroad to popular diving locations alongside weekend and Bank Holiday trips to enjoy diving in the UK using our RIB. Non diving partners are always welcome.
Club Dives
Already diver trained?
If you looking for a local club that dive regularly, so you can keep your skills current, join us and have your existing grade recognised to an equivalent BSAC level.
